Virtual K9 Barking Dog Alarm

**CLOSEOUT. LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE.**

The Virtual K9 Barking Dog Alarm is ideal for your home, office, store, business, or any place that needs the constant security of a guard dog. It scares would-be intruders away by imitating the sound of a vicious barking dog (or an alarm) whenever someone approaches. According to the US Department of Justice, “a dog's presence is a close substitute for human occupancy and most burglars avoid houses with dogs”. With just the press of a button on the remote control, the Virtual K-9 gives you all the benefits of a guard dog without the high cost of dog food and vet bills plus you’ll never need to take it for a walk or pick up after it! It uses microwaves to “see” through walls and activate either an alarm, a chime, or the recording of a German Shepard in attack mode as soon as motion is detected. The chime is a great feature for store owners to let them know a customer has entered the store or at home as an automatic doorbell to alert you to visitors approaching.

Please note that it will sense motion through most walls (wood, cement, brick, stucco, glass, etc.) but will not work through metal walls, walls with metal studs, tinted glass, or extremely thick walls.

FEATURES

  • The microwave signal can "see" through walls and detect someone approaching from over 10 feet away
  • Three modes: barking dog, chime or alarm
  • Powered by an AC adapter (included) or 3 AA batteries (not included) for temporary use during a power outage
  • Wireless remote control to arm/disarm the unit, change the sound mode, or activate the panic alarm in case of an emergency
  • Long-range remote control (50+ feet also works through walls).
  • Eight volume levels with maximum volume of 120 dB
  • Measures 6 x 5.75 x 3.75 inches.
  • Warranty: 1 year

Works on brown bears!
I'm a property manager in Tahoe and this works for keeping bears from breaking in, wouldn't use it to trick humans its obviously not a high quality speaker playing the cheap sounding recording and for the price it should be. But it is cheaper and faster than installing electrical bear barriers or having a bear break in.

The bark is realistic!!
My only disappointment is that contrary to the instructions is does NOT return to the last setting used. For example if you only want the bark noise it may play a doorbell sound next.

It sounds so real
I love that it gives you 2 options to choose from and it also has a panic button which sounds real loud. You can choose between having a doorbell sound or the dog's barking when someone is approaching your front door, the machine will start to go off! It doesn't shut off right away either. You can easily turn it off with the remote. My doorbell went out so having this option makes me happy. When we go to sleep at night we put the dogs barking which is loud enough to wake up anybody! We have it plugged into the wall but also have batteries inserted in it just incase we lose power. We're very pleased with it so far!

Good product
Very good product, we like the Barking dog. We have had the alarm for three months and it has stopped working twice so I rebooted it by unplugging and removing the batteries and counting to 10 Replacing the batteries and plugged it back in spaceand then it worked again.

This fit the bill as it was easy to set up and I didn’t have to go ...
My neighborhood has seen an increase in parcel theft and break-ins in recent months, so I decided to look for some added security - something reasonable, to provide a deterrent when I was at work. This fit the bill as it was easy to set up and I didn’t have to go through the hassle of signing up for a contract or dealing with installation. The proximity sensor works well, and the remote control makes it easy to arm and disarm the device. The bark could be a little more realistic, but through the door it isn’t noticeable unless you stand and listen for a while.Overall, this was inexpensive insurance. I recommend it for people that don’t have lots of valuables to protect and want a little extra peace of mind. It may also save you the time and frustration of having to chase down stolen packages.

Triggers Through Walls...but Maybe Use the Alarm Sound Instead of the Barking Dog
Here's what I like:1. It has a highly effective trigger range, that goes through walls (except when there's metal in between). I was able to put it at a number of different locations near our front door and there was not problem getting it to sound off.2. It's loud. For sure someone outside, whether friend or foe will hear it loud and clear.3. It has a remote control that allows you to arm it when you leaving your house. The Achilles heal:The dog sound does not sound realistic. Now may or man not be a problem because as a soon as a person with bad intent hears a dog barking he my just decide not to bother. But if decides to stay and list, he'll notice that short loop recording reveals that exact same sounds repeat over and over again. I have the impression that the totally length is 20 seconds. That said, I'm guessing that you'll find this issue with any alarm of this time. The Good NewsIt has a regular alarm sound that is probably going to be more credible and scary to an intruder.
